The Why.
The Full Circle Foundation is a small nonprofit that focuses on simple programs that can affect large groups of people using a small basket of contributions. The foundation works primarily in three countries, Senegal, Mali and Nepal.
We are part of a global company that sources beautiful products from around the world and through the course of business, is able to recognize and identify opportunities in remote populations with lots of human needs. What we found out was, most of these communities want to stay viable and ultimately sustainable in their own local economy. This is best done by keeping the business in the village, keeping people from leaving the village and going to the big city by providing income and job opportunities locally. Ultimately forming a more sustainable way for communities to grow and live together.
By focusing on community we’re able to create programs that align with the people and their values, helping to create hope for the future and an improved life and education for their children.
Full Circle Foundation programs have been going for about 12 years with successes and failures, but what we have learned is there are a few programs that work really well and those are the ones we are excited by.
Seeing the direct result of these programs and the effect it has on the people who participate in them is really quite uplifting and such a positive humanistic story about people.
Our hope is to continue to grow the programs and expand the amount of people it can make a difference with
Robin Saidman of Vital Edge offered 3form insight and know-how to enable our 501-c3 non-profit initiative to become what Full Circle is today–connecting people to services and making tangible differences in many lives. Robin continues to be our leading advisor on all of the Full Circle programs.
